Homeway Homes Hers Index Energy Efficiency TS131628801 It’s important that we are able to measure how our insulating system works in comparison with others. That’s why we use an index called the Home Energy Rating System (HERS), a scoring system developed by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET).

So, how do we fare?

The reference score established for the HERS Index is 100, which is the score for a reference home built to specifications that are based on the 2004 International Energy Conservation Code. The lower a home’s score, the more energy efficient it is compared with a HERS reference home.

Homeway Homes built with our exclusive Energy Strength Spray Foam Insulations score under 50 on the HERS index. For point of comparison, older pre-insulation homes average around 140 on the HERS index while on-site built homes with 2x6 studs and fiberglass insulation average around 105.
