When it comes to children’s bedrooms, the possibilities for decorating are endless. It’s a space where you can have a little fun – but kids tend to change their minds easily so you are better off sticking to fairly neutral furniture and then adding fun elements through bedding, rugs and accessories.
You can turn the bedframe into a clubhouse – or a pirate ship or a rocket. The point is that you can use the bedframe as a starting point for all kinds of fun themes. If a child’s room is relatively small you can free up space by hanging the bed from the ceiling or creating a loft bed. Also, bright pops of color in a child’s room is a relatively simple and inexpensive way to liven the space up – and we don’t mean just on the walls. You can paint the bedframe, doors and ceiling as well. And lastly, your kids probably do a lot of drawing so why not create a small “art studio” where they can draw, color and paint.
