Log Cabin Day is coming up – and did you know we build log cabins too?
They were the original American home – built of logs carefully notched together and sealed with clay or mud. The American log cabin is an important part of American history and every year people celebrate Log Cabin Day (June 30) by going out to help preserve historical log cabins so that they can be maintained for the future and hold on to the artifacts and memories that make them so important.
At Homeway Homes, we have experience building log cabins – and while they’ve come a long way from the pioneer days, these modern homes still have the rustic charm that make them so attractive to so many people.

That was what the Wiechmann’s wanted for their dream home, and at Homeway Homes we delivered. Based off the Camden floorplan, not only did they want a custom exterior, but they also wanted a home that was handicapped accessible, including wider doors and an elevator to the basement.

When the Tolleys were looking at a new home and chose the Madison floorplan, they had some very specific needs – from larger ceilings and a home office to building on a plot of land without removing any mature trees. Thanks to our great team, we were able to make it happen and give the Tolleys the home they always wanted.
